Looking at how vast the technology and social media in Indonesia is currently, the National Digital Literacy Movement Siberkreasi is created by the Indonesian Ministry of Communications and Informatics (Kominfo). The webinar/movement encourages Indonesians to practice critical thinking to fight hoaxes & online bullying in social media.
The event has successfully brought in more than 1,400 participants and brought Indonesian celebrity and influencers including Nikita Mirzani. The event highlights how important hoaxes and cyberbullying are in today’s social media, especially after (Indonesia) placed last among other Southeast Asian countries in terms of online social manners.
Aside from hoaxes and cyberbullying, the event also explores the topic of critical thinking and public speaking. Both are brought by Indonesian actress and presenter, Nadia Mulya as the speaker. The session targets teachers and educators while highlighting the importance of information processing & evidence evaluation in public speaking (especially online education). The whole event is created and made in hope to increase & assist digital literacy advancement in Indonesia.
