Myths & Facts of 5G

Like any other emerging, new technologies, 5G is one of those with many controversies behind it. Conspiracy theories from different areas of life surround this new generation, very high speed network. To this, here are some unfoldings/ unbunking of the myths examined more closely specially compiled for you.

Without warnings before, the Coronavirus suddenly emerged and spread all over the world leaving everything to adapt and change. The still mysterious ‘hometown’ of this virus has left people creating conspiracy theories including with the 5G network. What’s spread widely is that the Coronavirus is transmitted via the 5G radio waves. However, this is not true as there’s no proven link between these two. The Coronavirus is spread through respiratory droplets or direct contact, not from radio waves.

There were also rising concerns of the 5G network posing health risks due to the radio waves, where it could create new illnesses that’ll threaten humanity. However, this also has been proven wrong by health authorities in several European countries such as Germany, Finland and Norway. They have concluded that as they are below the current threshold, there’s no health risk associated with the 5G.

Some might have mentioned too that the 5G connection is not essential and should not be created. However, this also is not true as there’s an increasing demand in connectivity with mobile data consumption rises to 40% each year. Therefore, 5G network connection is a gamechanger for the future. Yes, there might be more questions asked and misconceptions created as humanity is in doubt as with any other new technologies, but, rest assured, with research being done & cleared, technologies will be more clear & trusted.
