Last December, the AirAsia Group announced their plan on bringing a food delivery service to Indonesia. Since then, thousands of culinary owners have registered themselves and joined this new initiative. The company, according to the Head of E-commerce has prepared various unique programs with these restaurants as their gratitude to the excitement of Indonesians.
AirAsia Food was first founded and put into force in Malaysia in May 2020. The industry then kept growing and expanding to Thailand, Singapore, and now Indonesia. The move to enter Indonesia’s food delivery service can be considered quite brave as Indonesia already has several ‘leaders’ ranging from GoFood to Grab Food. However, this fact is deemed as a challenge for the company and treated as a motivation to go on.
Hopefully, this addition of AirAsia Food will bring more ‘comfort’ to Indonesians by giving them more choices when ordering their food online.
