GenD x Payon Citi

For our 5th anniversary and a couple of sessions in the beginning of 2024, GenDigital Academy had the delightful opportunity of teaching at Payon Citi Foundation. Dedicated to bridging social gaps, Payon Citi Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides education for underprivileged children and shares a similar vision with GenDigital Academy. 

Back in 2023, on November 25, GenDigital Academy turned 5 and we celebrated it with the children at Payon Citi Foundation in Depok. We taught them about basic coding in Mblock which included sequential, conditional, and functional coding systems. 

Then in the first two months of 2024, through weekly 2-hour sessions on Saturdays, our team covered the overall topic of Python programming. Each week a different subtopic was discussed, from input and output to variables and looping. By the end of these sessions, the children developed a new understanding of coding in Python and a newfound enthusiasm in honing their digital skills.
